5G NR base station testing with fading conditions presented at MWC 2019

Rohde & Schwarz shows the most compact solution on the market for 5G NR base station performance testing at GSMA Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona. The readiness to cover 5G NR Release 15 and beyond is demonstrated with the new R&S®SMW200A vector signal generator hardware with an RF frequency up to 44 GHz, the new R&S®SMW-B15 fading hardware option with a fading bandwidth of 200 MHz and the software presets on the instruments for test models by 3GPP. Together with the R&S®FSW signal and spectrum analyzer, TX, RX and performance testing using only the intuitive 5G NR software options on the two instruments becomes an easy task.
