As an Aerospace & Defense Business Development Manager, you will be part of a highly focused and specialized team. While this is a fully remote position, the territory will cover the Western half of the US. The ideal candidate must be located close to a major US airport within the territory.
Your tasks
- Create new business opportunities while expanding the Rohde & Schwarz brand awareness in this market segment
- Primary objective is to promote the Rohde & Schwarz test equipment portfolio to the Aerospace and Defense market space
- Effectively demonstrate and communicate how all Rohde & Schwarz products can best solve the customer’s measurement problem
- Work closely with the other members of the business development team; sharing information and developing a complete understanding of Milcom and Aerospace markets.
- Grow R&S market share - develop and manage sales funnel/forecast as part of the sales process
- Provide input and feedback and implement growth activities in close alignment with the worldwide Market Segment Management, Product Marketing, R&D, and Service organizations
- Develop a business plan that outlines how Rohde & Schwarz products can address business trends in this market segment
- Coordinate a diverse and decentralized team of Account Managers and Application Engineers in an effort to identify and leverage from industry interdependencies and win key opportunities
- Single point of contact for Account Managers, Product Marketing, Marketing, and Product Planning
