Use the NGPxxx DC power supply from your PC connected via USB

To use the NGPxxx DC power supply from your PC connected via USB - what would be needed?

Answer

Please install the driver for the HO732
"HO732 USB Virtual COM Port (VCP) driver"
it is located at
https://www.rohde-schwarz.com/driver/hmp4000/

Please use the HMExplorer version > 1.7.8
the newest version is located at
https://www.rohde-schwarz.com/software/hmp4000/

Please set the interface of the NGPxxx USB class CDC

As soon as the NGP is connected to the USB port - start the HMExplorer

It will automatically detect the COM port assigned

Right click on the instrument to select the
START with --> SCPI Terminal
